Northern Home Inspections, LLC offers the most comprehensive home inspection available. With over 30 years experience in home construction, remodeling old and new homes (oldest built in 1896), and rental property maintenance, I have torn out full building walls down to the studs to modernize insulation and interior walls. I have updated plumbing and electrical from old to complete new systems. I have re-roofed and re-sided homes. I have experience in masonry work, in floor hydronic heating systems and log home buildings.  

I start at the roof and evaluate not only the roof surface, but all elements related to the roof including the chimney, ventilation system, electrical service entrance, plumbing stack, and any other systems or components located on the roof. I will walk the roof personally if possible or take photos with a drone if not too windy or snow covered.

My next step is to inspect the exterior of the home where I will use a macro and micro approach to look at both the big picture and all the details.

I then move to the inside the house starting at the bottom working my way through the home into the attic. This is I address such things as the structure, heating and cooling systems, electrical and plumbing systems, interior finishes, insulation and ventilation, accessories such as fireplaces and radon, if requested, for an additional fee.  

My evaluation is then communicated through a detailed inspection report, which includes descriptions of all the systems in the home, as well as any recommended improvements. This will help you prioritize the improvements and develop a blueprint for your future in the home.

Best of all, my services don't end with the inspection.  For as long as you own the home, you can call with any additional questions – at no extra charge!
